Never be afraid to try something different. I think as creatives, we come up with these ideas. We can picture them in our minds but when we try to create them, we fall short or we’re disappointed in the outcome. It doesn’t quite turn out the way we envisioned them. That’s okay! Trust the process. You might discover that all those ‘fails’ were just practice rounds setting you up to create something even more amazing....

I saw @rachelvanoven post it and made it my mission to try to do it 😂 What was it… 10 years ago?! I do mine a little differently but I don’t think that’s a bad thing! I like to hide their hand and use it to pull their face out a bit while also getting their little toes to kiss their cheek. Photographers now are so fortunate to have so many learning opportunities. Online videos, in person workshops, conferences, one on one mentoring… so many options and so many instructors to choose from. When I started there was this thing called CreativeLive and there were really only a handful of newborn photographers that I had even heard of. It’s been a beautiful thing to watch this industry grow and transform and I’m so blessed to be a part of it. ❤️...
