When I decided to hold mini-sessions this fall, I knew I just HAD to have a newborn baby to photograph. Last spring, I photographed my very first outdoor newborn and instantly fell in love. There is so much natural beauty outside; it’s all around us! The biggest challenge isn’t in finding the right scenery, it’s in making sure baby is totally safe and comfortable. We don’t have a lot of ‘warm’ fall days here in the Seattle area, so when I saw that the weather was calling for sunshine and 75 degrees in late October, I jumped all over it! Of course, baby was wrapped and kept very warm the entire time. No direct sunlight and mom and dad were very close by him within arm’s reach the entire time. This little guy had an adorable big sister, whom we photographed as well, and of course, I adore the family image as well. When I posted his sneak peek on Facebook, I dubbed him ‘Barrett the Bear Cub’. Check out some of my faves from his session.
