When I noticed the streak of beautiful weather headed into the Seattle area, I knew I had to set an up outdoor newborn session. I truly love all of my newborn sessions but there is something extra special about being able to photograph them outside. Of course, the weather has to be warm enough because babies can’t regulate their temperature. It’s important to make sure they stay cozy and warm.
For this particular session, I rented a couple of lenses from our local camera store. If you’re in the Seattle area and looking for a place to rent camera equipment, I highly recommend Glazers. They are amazing and their prices are fantastic, too. I had been curious to try a fisheye lens for an outdoor newborn session for quite some time, so when the opportunity presented itself, of course I jumped all over it! (You’ll have to leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!)
This little man was the perfect outdoor newborn model. At just 8 days old and weighing around 8 lbs, Axton was a champ. In the one hour we spent together, we moved through three different prop set ups and had time left at the end to get a beautiful photo of him with his momma. Side note: mom did not plan on being photographed but OMG, she is so gorgeous, how could I not take a photo of them together?!
Here are a few of my favorites from this special little man’s outdoor newborn session. Hope you love them as much as I do!
