Baby Girl Adalena | Seattle Newborn Photographer

This baby girl came to see me not once, but twice!  Unfortunately, her first session didn’t quite go according to plan and we all thought it best to take a break, wait a few more days, and try again.  I’m SO glad we did!  During her first session, we captured some amazing images of her by herself, and during her second session, we were able to get some family photos and a few gorgeous shots of her with her momma.  In the end, it was actually really tough for me to choose my favorites to share!  It’s no secret that I love a sleepy little curly baby and how gorgeous they are when they’re photographed in the simplest way, but I really do think that the momma/baby poses are my faves.  Capturing that connection between a new mom and her brand new baby is truly something to be treasured.  Here’s just a small sampling of this sweet baby girl’s gallery.  Meet Miss Adalena Saige.  8.5 lbs and 15 days new.  You can actually see a few images from her momma’s maternity session here.

Liam’s Newborn Session | 18 days {Seattle Newborn Photographer}

Every once in a while, I schedule a newborn session just outside of the typical ‘5-10’ day window. Anyone who has children knows that babies can be quite unpredictable.  Some of the newborns I have photographed, have barely slept.  Some sleep so deeply that they don’t even wake up when I’m moving them into different poses!  Even with those wide awake babies, generally they sleep for at least a little while so we can capture some great shots!  One reason most newborn photographers aim for that 5-10 window is that usually they’re still a bit sleepy.  They’re bones haven’t quite fused so they’re also a tad more pliable.  (Those  little curly poses can only be achieved when the baby is still very new.)  But this little guy, even at 18 days, was a total rockstar!  He slept so well during his session that we got through several poses in our limited time together.  I’m sharing a few of my faves from his session for all of you to see.

As of now, I’m booking newborns into 2015.  If you’re expecting a baby and you’re interested in working with me, please contact me for more information on how to schedule.

Family Outdoor Session | Seattle newborn photographer

This family outdoor session took place at a beautiful location in Maple Valley.   So many gorgeous fall colors surrounded us; it wasn’t difficult to find some great options for them!  I have known this momma for many, many years now.  I had the pleasure of photographing her maternity session up in the snow at Snoqualmie Pass, and then her newborn session in my studio, and now, she and her family have come back for Aspen’s 6 month session.  This time, we even got a few photos of their pup, too!  Here are a few of my faves from their shoot.  I really feel so honored to have such amazing people in my life!  Can’t wait to photograph these guys again and again!  If you would like to see this momma’s maternity session, you can see it here.  And to see little Aspen’s newborn session, you can click here.

Outdoor Milestone Session | Seattle newborn photographer

Have I mentioned lately how much I love babies?!  To be able to do an outdoor milestone session for this GORGEOUS little girl was like a dream come true!  This little 7 month old was ALL smiles!  From the minute I met her until she was leaving, she was the smiliest little bundle of cuteness, and she LOVED having her photos taken.  The weather outside was simply beautiful.  Sunny and warm with the lovely fall colors all around us.  Keira was a complete joy to photograph from start to finish and I’m very much looking forward to having her in the studio for more portrait sessions!  Here are a handful of my favorites from her outdoor milestone session.

Outdoor Newborn Mini Session | Seattle Newborn Photographer

When I decided to hold mini-sessions this fall, I knew I just HAD to have a newborn baby to photograph.  Last spring, I photographed my very first outdoor newborn and instantly fell in love.  There is so much natural beauty outside; it’s all around us!  The biggest challenge isn’t in finding the right scenery, it’s in making sure baby is totally safe and comfortable.  We don’t have a lot of ‘warm’ fall days here in the Seattle area, so when I saw that the weather was calling for sunshine and 75 degrees in late October, I jumped all over it!  Of course, baby was wrapped and kept very warm the entire time.  No direct sunlight and mom and dad were very close by him within arm’s reach the entire time.  This little guy had an adorable big sister, whom we photographed as well, and of course, I adore the family image as well.  When I posted his sneak peek on Facebook, I dubbed him ‘Barrett the Bear Cub’.  Check out some of my faves from his session.
