Petite Newborn Session

Now introducing, the Petite Newborn Session!

These one hour, simply styled sessions are ideal for parents who are looking to save on money and time. The entire hour is spent photographing your brand new baby with the simplest of set ups. We’ll be sure to included different fabrics and poses to give some unique variety to your newborn’s session. Because of time limitations, the petite newborn session will not include any family images or prop set ups. You might be wondering what the difference is between the Boutique Newborn Session and the Petite Newborn Session. The biggest difference is the amount of time we spend photographing baby. With the Petite session, the session is limited to one hour. We spend that entire time photographing baby only. Parent and sibling images are not captured during the petite newborn session. Baby will also be photographed in very simple set ups- using a few different fabrics but NO props. The photographs shown above are examples of photos taken during a petite newborn session. These sessions are less expensive than the Boutique Newborn Session and because less time is spent in the studio, the finished gallery will be slightly smaller than the Boutique Newborn Session. While products and digital images are sold separately, most galleries will have approximately 15 edited images for you to create your order from. Mom and Me Outdoor Session

This mom and me outdoor session was extra special for me because I had the privilege of photographing a fellow photographer with her boys. As the mom of three boys myself, I know how challenging it can be to get your kids to cooperate whenever a camera is involved. Especially if you’re outside in beautiful weather with a million trees ‘perfect for climbing’ surrounding you. This mom and her boys were such a pleasure to work with. They spent over an hour in the car driving to their session and showed up all ready to go! I have to admit, I’m a little jealous that I don’t have photos like these with my boys.

Issaquah Baby Photographer | Twin newborn boys

Issaquah baby photographer Dawn Potter is a natural light photographer specializing in newborn photography. Studio is located in Maple Valley, approximately 20 minutes from Issaquah.

Meet Ian and Ezra, twin boys whom I had the pleasure of photographing when they were just days old! These boys came to see me weighing under 6 lbs a piece and were so stinking adorable! Their big brother couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of their newborn session. He sat perfectly still and was extra careful not to move when his little brothers were curled up beside him. I just loved all their sweet little facial expressions. As a newborn photographer, I don’t get to photograph too many sets of twins but when I do, I really enjoy it so much. Every baby is different, of course, but I’ve found that every set of twins I’ve photographed, is most content when they’re placed next to their other sibling. These guys were no exception. 🙂 Here are a few of my favorites.

I met this West Seattle family over the summer when they brought their daughter, Freya in to see me for her sitting up milestone session. We decided to shoot their family session at this beautiful location in West Seattle that was right next to the water and surrounded in greenery. Momma had her maternity session done in the very same park so it seemed fitting to shoot their family session at the same place to really showcase their growing family. As before, Freya was the perfect little model! The weather was pretty amazing, too.

As a Seattle baby photographer, I can tell you that there’s no doubt in my mind that I have the most amazing job on the planet. Every single time I have a baby scheduled to come in for a session, my heart does little flip flops in excitement. About an hour before the session starts, I spend time in my little studio space preparing for these little ones and meticulously planning out the details of how the shoot will go. When baby is the ‘only child’, we start out posing the baby by themselves. This gives mom and dad some time to relax and for us all to get a little better acquainted.

When baby girl Abriella came in to see me, she was the first baby girl that I had photographed in quite some time! (Lots and lots of boys throughout the summer months-I’m convinced there must’ve been something in the water!) Since she was my one and only baby girl, I couldn’t resist shooting some super girlie set ups with her. At nearly 10 lbs, this sweet little squishy baby pretty much slept the entire time… she must’ve been having some amazing dreams because she even flashed me a few little smiles. I LOVE BABY SMILES
