Seattle Maternity Photographer | Page

Seattle maternity photographer Dawn Potter offers maternity sessions as an add-on to any booked newborn session.  Most maternity sessions are photographed outdoors, however they are weather dependent.  I have on occasion photographed maternity sessions in the studio when the weather is being less than cooperative.  Luckily for this gorgeous momma, we didn’t have to move her maternity session indoors!

After several days of watching the weather, it looked as though we might have one day of sunshine (after many months without!) and when that day finally came, the sun decide to hide from us.  A few rain drops even started to fall.  Thankfully, the downpour waited until our session was over.

Even though momma was pregnant with her first baby girl, the baby girl in her tummy wasn’t actually her first.  Little Miss Bean had to join in on the fun, too!  And you guys, she was so good for camera!  She totally spoiled me.

I’ll admit I’ve been a bit behind on sharing my sessions. I’ve actually already photographed and shared their beautiful daughter’s session.

I truly adore this family and had a hard time choosing my favorite images to share.Seattle maternity photographer | Seattle maternity session | outdoor maternity session | Seattle newborn photographer

Issaquah Maternity Photographer | Studio Maternity Session

Issaquah maternity photographer Dawn Potter has a commercial studio in Issaquah’s Gilman Village.  Maternity sessions are available as an add-on to any scheduled newborn session.  Please be sure to see our Investment page for more information about different types of sessions available.

Stephanie is a friend of mine whom I’ve known for a very long time.  I was totally honored to be chosen to photograph her maternity and newborn sessions for her.  Unfortunately, the awful weather didn’t give us much hope for scheduling an outdoor session so we played it safe and planned to shoot in the studio.   I have to admit, I’m really glad we did because I love the way her session came together.

The backlit images shown below were photographed using natural light. Studio light was used for everything else.  I love that my little space gives me such flexibility.  All of the gowns shown below are kept in my studio and are available for mommas to use during their sessions.    Be sure to contact me if you would like more information on scheduling your maternity and newborn sessions.

Issaquah Cake Smash Photographer | Brighton

Issaquah cake smash photographer, Dawn Potter Photography has a studio located in downtown Issaquah.  She only takes a limited number of cake smash sessions each month.  Please contact us for more details.

This kid.  You guys, I can’t even.  I’ve been photographing this awesome family for the past 3 years.  Literally since I started my business.  Two maternity sessions.  Two newborn sessions.  Two cake smash sessions.  And I’m pretty sure there was an outdoor mini session or two somewhere in the mix.  It has been SO FUN watching these kids get older and seeing their little personalities come to life in front of the camera.

Little Brighton was ALL SMILES. And those humongous gorgeous blue eyes … I can’t even. Those are his real eyes, people.  They are not edited! And the photos with his big sister, Aspen… swoon.  Okay, sharing some of my favorites from his one year cake smash session.

Seriously, all the heart eyes.

Bellevue Newborn Photography Session | Naria

Bellevue newborn photography session with baby girl Naria. Dawn Potter The Newborn Whisperer has a commercial studio located in the heart of downtown Issaquah, just minutes from Bellevue. Dawn serves clients throughout the greater Seattle area.

Sweet little Naria came in for her newborn session just after she turned 2 weeks old.  She had the most gorgeous skin tone and her little features were to die for.  Momma really wanted to use some soft pinks in her daughter’s session so we made sure to include it throughout.

Sharing a few of my favorites from Naria’s session. And be sure to follow our Instagram page for behind the scenes posts!

Kirkland newborn photographer | baby girl Harper

Kirkland newborn photographer Dawn Potter Photography is located just outside of Kirkland in downtown Issaquah.

When momma told me that she was a really big Kate Spade fan, I instantly thought of black, white and pink for colors. And bows, and stripes and polka dots! I’m a pretty big Kate Spade fan myself, so I squealed a bit when momma told me she was bringing a few Kate inspired headbands along for the session.

Little Harper was a sleepy little peanut.  I don’t think she opened her eyes until the very end when we placed her in her momma’s arms. She even flashed us a few little smiles along the way.  I’m sharing a few of my favorites from her session from last year.

Please be sure to contact us for more information on scheduling your newborn session.
