Forrest and Emmie | Boy Girl Twins Newborn Session

Meet Forrest and Emma. This boy girl twin session was one of many twin newborn sessions I photographed over the summer time. Working with twins can be a bit more challenging but I always make it a point to have an assistant who is experienced with newborns come to the studio to provide an extra set of hands. This little duo was absolutely perfect. I don’t think they made a peep during their entire session. I was able to get several images of the two of them together, as well as a full gallery of each of them on their own. Mom and dad chose one of our gorgeous albums to display their portraits and I have to admit, their album came together beautifully.

Newborn Photography Mentor | 1:1 mentoring

Newborn Photography Mentor, Dawn Potter, offers 1:1 mentoring to photographers looking to improve their newborn photography. We will spend a full day together focusing on session workflow and discussing equipment, settings and studio lighting. 1:1 mentoring is hands on, and students will have the opportunity to pose baby with my guidance and assistance to give them a head start to implementing the skills they’ve learned. Francis | Best Newborn Photographer in Seattle

Francis and his family traveled quite a ways to come into the studio for his newborn session. I’m always flattered when a client makes the trip so far to see me, and make it a goal to go above and beyond to deliver an amazing experience. His big sister couldn’t have been any more adorable, I swear. She walked in smiling and was so careful and gentle when she was holding her baby brother. The images I captured of the two of them together are some of my all time favorite sibling photos.

Momma requested mostly neutrals for Francis’ session, and the creamy tones looked amazing with his gorgeous features and ivory skin. (if you look closely, you can even see the little dimple in his chin!) The blue romper she brought in was handmade by a relative and momma wanted to be sure to include it in his session since it was extra sentimental. Paired with the grey fabric, it was perfection.

Nolan | Best Seattle Newborn Photographer

Nolan and his sweet family came in for their newborn session over the summertime. As you can guess, the family had requested different shades of blue to be used for his session to compliment little Nolan’s nursery. I think it might have been one of the first times I’ve been able to use this navy blue fabric in a newborn session and I absolutely loved the way it all came together. The blues were so pretty against his skin and really highlighted his perfect little features so well.

His big brother was such a cutie, too and did a great job holding still while cuddling his baby brother. The were an adorable due for sure!

Mimi | Seattle Outdoor Maternity Portrait Session

This stunning momma came in to see me a few weeks before her due date. We could not have had better luck with the weather, either. The sun was shining and the sky lit up with a gorgeous glow to give us the perfect golden light.

Most maternity sessions are photographed outdoors when momma is between 32-36 weeks. Ideally, she is still comfortable moving around but also has a nice baby belly for her session. Spouses and siblings are more than welcome to join the session, and I’ve even had a few pups tag along. In the colder months and upon request, maternity sessions can be scheduled in the studio as well. I have several maternity gowns available for moms to wear during the session.
