I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family a handful of times over the past several years. First, photographing their two girls and now, photographing their new family welcoming this sweet baby boy. We had an amazing session’ capturing eye open photos, sleepy newborn poses, and we even shot a series of macros capturing all his tiny little details including his full head of hair.

It’s not very often that I have the opportunity to photograph big families! And this one was amazing. The little man slept like a champ! He and his whole family graced my portrait studio from Kirkland. It was such a pleasure having them here and I was thrilled with the way this shoot tuned out.

I wasn’t sure if it was possible for me to find another place that I loved photographing maternity sessions as much as I do in my spot near Rainier but photographing this session proved that it was. I had the privilege of photographing Michelle’s maternity session a few years ago when her little girl was just a little bean in her belly and I was more than thrilled to be able to do this again for them. Our original location was sadly unavailable due to the wildfires over the summer so we had to improvise on short notice and find a new spot. I don’t think any of us were the least bit disappointed. Sharing a few of my favorites from Michelle’s session below. The gown she is wearing is from my client closet featuring gowns from Sew Trendy.

Audrey | Best Newborn Photographer Near Tacoma

Would you believe me if I told you that this sweet family drove a long way to come in for their newborn photo session? Would you believe me if I told you that quite a few of my clients drive a long way to come in for their newborn session? I know to some, driving a long distance might seem intimidating with a brand new baby. But the good news is that most babies sleep very soundly in the car. Little Audrey slept sooooo soundly in fact, that she had a nice little awake period during her session where I was able to get some great photos of her looking right at me.

Momma wanted to incorporate some sage and lavender color into the session and I think it all came together beautifully. Sharing a few of my favorites from her session below. This little man stole my heart with his full head of hair and his sleepy smiles. Momma wanted to use some blues and greens and earthy tones during his session and I think it all came together beautifully. Every time I set up for a newborn session, I pre-style everything ahead of time so I have all the props and fabrics, and accessories that I’m going to use ready to go.

It’s also a great way for me to see everything together to make sure that the gallery will have a nice consistency to it and the photographs will all coordinate together however the client chooses to display them.
